About the Artist

My Name is Zoe-Blake, I am a 21 year old artist born and raised in Niagara. I have always had an interest in art and in 10th grade I started to focus on becoming a better artist. 7 years later I now have my Bachelors Degree in fine arts from Nipissing University. My family owns a small farm in Beamsville, ON where I also work in my spare time.

My goal with my artwork is to create artworks for those who may feel excluded from modern themes in art. I have a passion for creating work that connects people to their own past, aswell as works that capture important memories.

Zoe-Blake Van Den Hurk is an artist and farmer who lives in Niagara. She has recently graduated with her degree in Fine Arts from Nipissing University in North Bay, which has given her experience with a wide variety of artistic media. The vast majority of her work consists of realistic graphite renderings, watercolour works and oil paintings. Her work is primarily inspired by her experiences growing up on a small farm and the strong family bonds these experiences created.  In 2019 she had the opportunity to travel to Italy through the university to learn about traditional stone carving. This experience reinforced her interest in art as a tradition that she brings into her work.
